Hailed for her “emotional expression, high-level excitement, and razzledazzle technique,” pianist Maria Yefimova has appeared in major venues around the world including Carnegie Hall, Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory, Steinway Hall, Teatro Puccini di Merano, and Slovak Philharmonic Hall.
A native of Russia, Dr. Yefimova graduated with honors from Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatory. After receiving a full scholarship from the Manhattan School of Music, she moved to the United States to pursue her Master’s and Doctor of Musical Arts degrees.
A competition prizewinner, Maria won awards from Artists International, the Five Towns Music & Art International Piano Competition, the Lillian Fuchs Chamber Music Competition, and the Kuznetsk Young Artists Piano Competition.
Dr. Yefimova is currently on the piano faculty of the College of William & Mary. For this concert, she will perform works by Scarlatti, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, and Debussy.
